Today, our research group, Forest and Society Research Group (FSRG), together with Sekolah Rakyat Petani (SRP) Payo-Payo, and Tim Layanan Kehutanan Masyarakat – TLKM, have escorted village volunteers to begin the activity of livelihood census in Rompegading Village, Maros Regency.
This activity has been conducted to facilitate the village government collecting comprehensive data of villagers’ livelihood, which will be used as materials for the village development plan based on Sistem Informasi Desa (SID).
The activity has been attended by around 40s volunteers from various regions in Indonesia, such as Sumatera, Jawa, Maluku, and especially from South Sulawesi. The volunteers will conduct a livelihood census within 4-6 weeks, and those data will be processed on a digital information system. Besides, the volunteers will also carry out participatory village mapping and will be displayed on the administrative map of the village.
